We as a practice believe in experientialism as a primal base of architecture. Sharing cultural events and communion is an integral part of the firm’s cycle.
ONAM
Festivities are all about decor, unity and celebration. We symbolise the same during Onam by adorning our art-deco terrazzo tiles with flower petals, dressing up in traditional Kerala clothes and feasting on an amazing locally sourced Sadhya.
PONGAL
Pongal, a harvesting festival, kicks off in the A&A office by celebrating all the five elements of nature. Gracing the concrete driveways with Rangoli, Whipping a Uri in the air while aiming for the terracotta pinata up in the sky, cooking pongal in an earthen stove, and boiling water for pongal rituals are just to name some. This very union portrays the studio’s collaboration and unity.
DIWALI
“Light is God”, being the studio philosophy, wouldn’t let us take Diwali lightly. The sills, entryways, bookshelves, etc. are decorated with glowing oil lamps while we burst fireworks through the day
